Adriatic

Adriatic
Adriatic: There, the grace of nature made everything better than man could do, proofing right those who claim that nature is the greatest artist.
The only miraculous fact is that, on the Croatian coast, the creative passion of nature was unfolded in such abundance that one becomes breathless in presence of all that beauty.

Besides wondrous beauty, the clean waters make the Adriatic special. The peoples desire to protect the environment has preserved the Adriatic from hazards such as the explosion of the mass tourism. The Adriatic can boast what elsewhere has been destroyed: unique islands, quiet coves, mysterious caves and its own distinct atmosphere that can not be found anywhere else. Savour your journey as you experience the numerous islands that are the last oasis for those who yearn to experience the untouched nature, peace and beauty.

Numerous beaches are not only beautiful but also diverse. It is hard to determine what is more beautiful, the famous sand beach on Zlatni rat on the Island Brac, or the silvery glittering sand of the beautiful beach in Brela. For those who like seclusion and intimacy, the most appropriate are the “wild” rocks of the sunny Island Hvar, immersed in the wondrous beauty of clean and sea and surrounded with pine forest.

It stretches from the northwest to the southeast between the Balkan and Apenine peninsulas for 783 km, its average width being 170 km. Its average depth is 252 m; its northwestern part is shallow (maximum 23 m in the Bay of Trieste), while it is much deaper in the south (1200 m in the South Adriatic basin). The prevailing winds are the cold Bura, the humid Jugo and the refreshing Maestrale
